There are many things and issues that a Muslim can tolerate; we have to be accepting of change in the world. As long as the change and advances in the name of modernity do not affect our basic belief, we must accept them and even incorporate them in our lives.
What we cannot and will not accept, is the loss of core beliefs as a Muslim, whether in ourselves or a fellow Muslim. Yet, this is exactly what poverty does. Poverty is the cancer that causes ignorance and ignorance is loss of imaan. Poverty will cause one to lose imaan, this is an undisputed fact!
With this vital truth as a reflection,

Alhamd'Allah, this US$77k water project, bringing pure drinking water to about 9,500 extremely poor people south of Belkhaab has commenced. This project will give immense relief to the women and children of this village and will insha'Allah complete May 2012. We share some photos.
Alhamd'Allah, CAI received very good response for this appeal, more that what was required. The excess funds were used on three additional life / death cases of minors with cancer whose parents could not afford treatment, all in India. Jazaak'Allah.
