In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

There are many things and issues that a Muslim can tolerate; we have to be accepting of change in the world. As long as the change and advances in the name of modernity do not affect our basic belief, we must accept them and even incorporate them in our lives.

What we cannot and will not accept, is the loss of core beliefs as a Muslim, whether in ourselves or a fellow Muslim. Yet, this is exactly what poverty does. Poverty is the cancer that causes ignorance and ignorance is loss of imaan. Poverty will cause one to lose imaan, this is an undisputed fact!

With this vital truth as a reflection,

My name is Yusuf Yusufali (Ali). I formed Comfort Aid International to formalize my charitable projects all over the world, especially India and Afghanistan. This website is to communicate the most up to date information on what and where my current projects are. Hopefully, this will lead to action on your part and you will support them.

I began to work with the poor and destitute in India in 1996. My involvement was not planned; rather a spontaneous reaction to provide a life line to one who is drowning in despair and helplessness. A small gesture more than twelve years ago years ago has now become a steady flow of support that is pregnant with promise of a better tomorrow, insha’Allah. Together, with progressive donors like you, we have transformed many hundreds of lives. All praise to Allah (SWT).
The emphasis of my projects are geared primarily towards education, for I am a firm believer this medium is the only sure way out of poverty and an opportunity for a better tomorrow. Next come housing, for without a roof, water and light to read, teaching a child is meaningless. Care of orphans, widows and those marginalized due to natural disasters or conflict are our natural concern. We also provide basic Iftaar food grains during Ramadhan, when about 10,000 destitute homes are provided with basic rations worth an average of USD23.00 (2009 forecast) each; CAI quota is 5,900 homes for 2009. Basic and life saving medical care, water wells, emergency situations etc follow.

I also take in the following funds: khums, zakaat, sadeqa, etc; these are dispersed as per certain, very exacting guidelines. Aga Seestani (may Allah SWT keep him) has given me an open unrestricted Ijaaza to collect 100% khums money. Please click here to view a copy of the Ijaazas. All khums contributions will be issued a receipt and distributed in approximately 90 days. Additionally, CAI is registered in the US and Afghanistan as an NGO and will issue tax deductible receipts for your support.

I urge you read more about the projects and find it in your heart to support them. I work with existing charities everywhere, using their logistics to achieve my goals. Comfort Aid International is a totally administration-cost free organization; 100% of donations are put to work into the project, none deducted for administrative costs.
