Urgent Appeal for Haiti

Urgent Appeal - Water and Medicines - Haiti:

CAI is spearheading relief to the earthquake disaster victims in Haiti, insha'Allah. There is a lot of food going into Haiti from donor countries (with poor logistics of distribution) but not enough water and medical supplies. SHINE, a California based humanitarian group has people on the ground in the Dominican Republic and will move into Haiti shortly, after arranging for proper logistics. They will distribute our share of contributions without any administration costs, music to our ears.

Time is very critical for the people of Haiti who have lost so much and are so very, very desperate for our help. Please, please help. Allah forbid, we may be in a similar situation one day? Sechak Water Supply

As advised above, the village of Sechak is pitiful and, as common throughout Afghanistan, face acute water problems. Our engineers Wasi and Basheer have come up with a solution; these are the same individuals who took on the seemingly impossible project at Chandawaal. The project cost is USD18,000 and will benefit 410 families (about 3,200 individuals) so it breaks down to about USD6 per person to supply safe, pure drinking water for at least the next 30 years! Please consider this investment for the pleasure of Allah (S). I am going ahead and approving the start of this project and am confident that you, our donors, will see it through, Insha'Allah.

Marriages of Poor Girls in Afghanistan and India

Marriages of poor girls in Afghanistan and India. Save a poor girls life and give her a head start for a decent marriage life. USD500 (India) and USD600 (Afghanistan) will ensure this. CAI will, insha'Allah, help perform 50 marriages in YawKawlang on May 1, 2009 when we are there insha'Allah.

In recent news:

Alhamd'Allah, I paid a very quick visit to Sayyadwada, Draksarama, Rajahmundry and Nagram villages in Hyderabaad, India to dispense funds for the marriages of 12 very poor to destitute girls whose marriage rites were held up due to lack of funds. These young girls will now be married during Shabaan, Insha'Allah, in relative ease and more importantly dignity and respect from husband and future in-laws. I could practically feel the relief in the young girls faces and to my startled horror and embarrassment, their desire to touch my feet in a Hindu gesture of deep veneration. I cannot thank the donors enough and as sure as the sun raises tomorrow, the duas of these young girls will bring you much joy, happiness and Allah's blessings in this and afterlife.
