It Rained Bombs In Kabul

New Trustees for CAI:
I am happy to welcome Imran Abdullah of Houston, TX and Abbas Jaffer of New York as new Trustees for CAI. These very necessary additions to our legal structure will, insha'Allah, go a long way in ensuring continuation, reinforced transparency, accountability and credible organizational structure going forward towards the pleasure of Allah (S). There still remains a vacancy for one more individual to join so we can be five trustees altogether; please jump in on board if you can help or participate.
Zakaat ul Fitr distribution - Afghanistan and India:
As usual, CAI will distribute your Zakaat obligations to those very deserving. In India, this will be done primarily to the poor in queue for medical assistance and then to poor girls waiting for education assistance. In Afghanistan, it is primarily food aid to the destitute. CAI has embarked a modest amount of USD5,000 unless more is pledged of received before Ramadhan 27. Please ensure you are sharee compliant as some marja make it compulsory you satisfy home country requirements of poor and needy before helping others outside in this particular sharee instance. Also, please treat any actual contributions as loans to CAI and then change your intent to Zakaat on Eid day.
Jazaak'Allah and Allah (S) Bless.
